Peru Flag

With our pre-trip meetings completed, our bags packed, and our hearts full of anticipatory nervousness and excitement, we are ready to set sail for Cocachacra, Peru. We will gather at San Francisco Airport in the pre-dawn hours of September 4 for a flight to Miami and then on to our midnight arrival in Lima.

The Lord's hand has been evident even from the way the team has been gathered. The ten Bay Area participants – from four different Bay Area churches – will join four other individuals from other parts of the country to serve with Madeleine Allard and her Canadian team Medical Missions International (MMI).

We all together will serve the Lord in the little community of Cocachacra (pop 3,500), about three hours from Lima. It is a rural agricultural community in the dry mountains east of Lima, the level of poverty is high, and the availability and quality of healthcare is low.

There we will work with the local evangelical church which has extended this invitation to us. For the past year they have planned this outreach to their community, hoping that this mobile medical and dental clinic will show the love of Christ to their neighbors in a positive, real and tangible way.

Thank you for your prayer support and your interest in this project.
