Just so no one will worry about our missing member, she is no longer missing. She arrived safe and sound this afternoon.
This was a day of orientation. The group visited the new women's addiction center. They have not moved in yet, but we were able to tour the facility once we got beyond the RATHER LARGE FEROCIOUS guard dog. (The women will be safe once they get in! HA!) This is the house that MPPC gave the partnership funds for.
Then off to the orphanage, (My Father's House) where we watched the workman finishing up the final touches before the children move in. They should be in within 6 weeks. It was MAGNIFICENT!! This is part of the group standing in the "art room" where Doris and Linda will be supervising art therapy sessions with the orphans. The kids will be taking turns visiting the dentist and doctors for their physical exams and treatments tomorrow (Tues) and Wed.
After we left My Father's House, (the large 4 story house that MPPC's Easter offering 99 helped to purchase). Money well spent!! We visited the children that will eventually be living there. They are now housed in a temporary building close by. It was wonderful to interact with the children. There were introductions all around with Dr. Roman leading, and a special prayer time with the children. We took a group shot that they will mount on their "prayer wall" so they will remember to pray for us. They are such precious little souls. Lois recognized one of the girls that had been on the streets until November. And she now is living at the home, healthy and happy, and has accepted Christ. Lois's heart was bursting.
Tomorrow schedule will include physical and dental exams for the orphanage children, setting up of the medical clinic at "My Father's House", working with the street kids at the park, Bob will be "Handyman Bob" at the orphanage.
Patricia Schroeder is taking wonderful care of us all. We have met our translators and are anxious to get started tomorrow. Jet lag should be completely over by then! We are ready to go.
Keep us in your prayers.
Please pray that the children will be open to the medical attention and that they will not be afraid.
Team unity, health, and stamina That the teams lives will continue to be transformed by our ministry here.
That we can accomplish all that God has in store for us and that we will be flexible to His agenda, not ours.
