Day 6

After seeing over 200 patients in the last 2 days, we had the morning off in deference to the Holy Day here. This allowed much needed rest and conversation and recharge of our batteries. The team is amazing skilled and works like a greased wheel. We set up Registration, Triage, 5 doctor stations and 4 people running the pharmacy at every village.

This afternoon we went back to the same village as yesterday. The people were happy to see us. Because, we had already been there, we were immediately inundated with patients, more than we could possibly see. However, God is sovereign in that we began seeing much more critical conditions immediately, and by the end of the day we had found a cardiac monitor and hooked it up on a very sick patient and were able to diagnose and treat her without hospitalization. We have two very sick children that we are trying to arrange surgeries for. We are making a significant difference in the communities we visit, which is very rewarding. We have to leave the thousands of others we aren’t seeing in his care and trust that he is going to provide others to care for them. We are happy to be serving.
