Day 1

We were very excited to take off from SF International Airport approximately 1:30am on May 7th and after a very smooth flight arrived in Hong Kong. We had a lay over of about 3 hours and after a total of 20 hours finally arrived in Singapore safely. The time is 15 hours ahead so we arrived on Mothers Day 12:00 noon. The team is doing great and after spending a night in Singapore we will fly out tomorrow to Medan and then on to Banda Aceh. The weather was raining when we arrived and is now warmer and approximately 80% humidity.

We had a briefing from the Red Cross regarding conditions in Banda Aceh and we are looking forward to getting started.
